Growth track
At The Found, our heart is for you to know Jesus, find community that feels like whānau, and discover your purpose in God.
We’re a Christ-centered, Spirit-powered and connected people, where faith isn’t just attending the Sunday experience.
Colossians 3:14-17 reminds us, "Above all, put on love—the perfect bond of unity. And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
Growth track is a guide for you to help you taking the next steps of your journey of being a disciple of Jesus; discovering your spiritual gifts, serving with love, and living out your faith with purpose.
We're here to grow together...
Know Jesus
Salvation
"For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:13, CSB
Salvation is where it all begins. It’s the moment you say “yes” to Jesus and accept Him as your Savior, trusting that He died for your sins and rose again. This is the foundation of your faith, where you step into a new life in Christ.
At The Found, we offer pathways to explore and strengthen your foundation, such as:
-
Alpha: A safe place to ask questions and explore the basics of Christianity with others who are on the same journey. Alpha provides a relaxed space to find out more about who Jesus is, why He matters, and what life in Him looks like.
-
Water Baptism: An outward expression of an inward decision. "Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4, CSB). Baptism signifies your new life in Jesus and your commitment to follow Him.
-
Holy Spirit Baptism: Being filled with the Holy Spirit empowers you to live the Christian life and walk in the fullness of God's presence. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses" (Acts 1:8, CSB). It’s through the Holy Spirit that we find boldness, guidance, and strength in our faith.
Salvation is just the beginning in your journey with Jesus, as you continues to grow, learn, and share His love with others.

Discipleship
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20
Discipleship at The Found is all about following Jesus and living out His teachings in our daily lives. It’s not just a solo journey; it’s about growing deeper together in our hearts and minds in the Word of God, and serving each other, our community and beyond.
Here’s how we embrace discipleship and find community at The Found:
-
Growing to Be More Christ-like: Discipleship involves moving beyond the basics and growing into spiritual maturity. Just as we move from milk to solid food, we’re called to deepen our understanding of the Word and our relationship with the Holy Spirit. As you grow stronger in your faith, let this maturity be reflect in your actions and interactions, becoming more like Christ every day.
-
Sharing Your Faith: We’re encouraged to share Jesus’ love with others. Whether it's through personal conversations or everyday interactions, your story and faith can make a real difference. 1 Peter 3:15 says, "Always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you." Pray for opportunities, pray to be in step with the Holy Spirit, encourage and be encouraged in the Word together.
-
Serving Others: We’re called to serve like Jesus did. Serving, whether as part of The Found or in our local, national or international community; it is an expression of love and sacrifice of Jesus. "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." Mark 10:45
-
Hosting and Inviting: Reaching out and inviting people into community matters to us! Opening our home for meals, meaningful conversations and Bible study and prayer, inviting others to our gatherings, community events and Alpha.
-
Evangelism Through Acts of Kindness: Sometimes, showing your faith is just as important as sharing it. Acts of kindness like a gift, goodies or helping a neighbour out - demonstrate Jesus’ love in action. Matthew 5:16 puts it like this: "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
Discipleship at The Found is all about living a life so that people can see Jesus in us, revealing His love and grace to those around us.
Discover purpose
development
"Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant" Mark 10:43
At The Found, development is a dynamic journey of deepening your relationship with Jesus and uncovering how you can lead and serve others effectively. This path isn’t just about personal growth; it’s about cultivating strong relationships and working together to make a meaningful impact. As you progress in your faith, you’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with Ps Andrew and Alana Waples, connect with our wider C3 Church Global Movement, and engage in gatherings designed for connection and equipping. Our goal is to see you thrive in your God-given calling, whether it’s within the church or your daily life, and to harness the collective wisdom of those who have walked with Christ for years. By embracing this process, you’ll be well-prepared to nurture the next generation of leaders and contribute significantly to our shared mission.
Here’s how we embrace development at The Found:
-
Growing in Your Gifts: We believe that God has uniquely equipped each of us with talents that extend far beyond the church. Whether you’re called to teach, lead worship, organize events, or influence others in your workplace, our aim is to help you grow these gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:4 (CSB) tells us, "Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit." We’re here to support you in using your talents to serve others and make an impact, both in our community and in your everyday life. Your gifts are meant to shine brightly wherever God has placed you.
-
Overseership: Leadership roles like elder or deacon involve guiding and caring for our community. This includes overseeing and providing pastoral care, managing and growing ministries and portfolios, being on the board of trustees. 1 Timothy 3:1 reminds us, "If anyone aspires to be an overseer, he desires a noble work." We’ll walk alongside you, helping you develop the skills and heart needed for effective leadership.
-
Five-Fold Ministries: For those called to roles such as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, we offer training to help you excel. Ephesians 4:11-12 "And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry." These roles are crucial for equipping others and building up the church. We support you in applying your calling across all areas of life, using your leadership to spread Christ’s message and support your community. Embracing these roles means leading with humility and grace, deeply caring for others, and guiding them in their faith journeys.
At The Found, development is about growing together in faith and leadership, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. We’re passionate about seeing you thrive in your God-given calling, whether it’s within our church, your workplace, or beyond. By nurturing your gifts, stepping into leadership roles with a heart for pastoral care, and supporting one another, we live out our vision of knowing Jesus, finding community, and discovering purpose.
We invite you to take the next step in your journey with us. Engage actively in our training and equipping opportunities, collaborate with fellow leaders, and contribute your unique gifts to our mission. Whether you’re looking to grow in your current role or explore new areas of service, we’re committed to walking alongside you. Embrace this opportunity to grow, lead, and make a lasting impact, both within our church community and in the broader world. Let’s grow together, serve with purpose, and build a vibrant, Kingdom-minded community that reflects Christ’s love and grace.
